What are the responsibilities and job description for the S.A.F.E. Domestic Violence Program Facilitator position at Primary Connection Health Care Inc?
Bridge Clinic has an immediate opening for a Psychotherapist interested in working with adults who have been emotionally and physically abusive.
Male therapists with an interest in the S.A.F.E. program and joining our domestic violence facilitator team are encouraged to apply.

Full and part time opportunities available
Part-time role can be paired with traditional clinic-based psychotherapy or school-based counseling.
Facilitators gather information for members establishing care within the SAFE, by using standard protocols and assessment tools. The SAFE Facilitator is responsible for supporting and coordinating the needs of program participants, including internal referrals and connection to external resources. Facilitator training is required and paid for by Bridge Community Health Clinic.
In-person Groups occur weekly; both daytime and evening sessions are offered. Group sessions are 120-minutes in length. The curriculum is based on the Duluth and EMERGE curriculums. The Program Supervisor provides program oversight and supports the programs facilitators.
Some of the duties you will perform as a S.A.F.E. Facilitator include:
- Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and make independent diagnosis
- Conduct S.A.F.E. group sessions within the scope of practice, privileging, and limits of experience and training.
- Lead educational / therapy group sessions focused on personal development and coping skills.
- Work collaboratively with team members to connect people to wholeperson care, including clinical needs and social determinants of health.
- Model behavior expectations to perpetrators of domestic violence participating in the AIP including but not limited to: take position of holding group members fully responsible for their abusive behavior, show respect to members, lead members to new views of gender equality, teach skills in selfmanagement and communication, model compassionate understanding of members’ lack of self validation
- Participate in S.A.F.E. training courses, webinars, and meetings.
You will need to bring:
- Master’s Degree from a recognized accredited College or University in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Completion of Clinical Supervision hours.
- Current WI license in good standing Licensed Clinical Social Work, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- BLS certification or the ability to certify within 90 days of hire.
