We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Domestic Operations Broker to join our team at our corporate office in La Palma, CA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in domestic freight brokerage with a personal book of business exceeding $2 million annually. This high-level role is integral to driving growth, managing key accounts, and optimizing operational performance within our domestic transportation division.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management & Growth
- Manage a personal book of business generating over $2 million in annual revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and acquire new business.
- Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations for domestic freight, including LTL, FTL, intermodal, and expedited services.
- Coordinate with carriers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
- Team Leadership
- Mentor and collaborate with junior brokers and operations staff to enhance team performance.
- Act as a subject matter expert on domestic transportation trends and solutions.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the department.
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop strategies to maximize profitability and achieve departmental goals.
- Analyze market trends and adjust business strategies to remain competitive.
- Collaborate with leadership on business development initiatives and long-term planning.

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in domestic freight brokerage or transportation logistics.
- Book of Business: Proven track record managing a book of business exceeding $2 million annually.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of domestic transportation modes, pricing strategies, and market trends.
