Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other professionals and systems to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to clients
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive change
- Assist with social work tasks such as connecting clients with community resources
- Provide behavioral health support and interventions
- Offer addiction counseling services to individuals struggling with substance abuse
- Manage crisis situations effectively and ensure the safety of clients
Requirements:
- Valid NC Peer Support Certification
- Experience in crisis intervention or mental health preferred
- Strong knowledge of systems and how they impact individuals' well-being
- Ability to effectively mentor and support individuals in need
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices
- Knowledge of behavioral health interventions and strategies
- Excellent crisis management skills
