Job Summary
Primary Health Services Center is seeking an entry or experienced desktop/server information technology (IT) technician to provide general desktop and peripheral equipment support; in addition, the individual will be required to assist the IT Director ensure that server systems are running smoothly by installing, troubleshooting and maintaining servers and related systems as defined by the responsibilities below. PHSC is a full service federally qualified health center (FQHC) with strong community ties and has served the Monroe area and immediate surroundings since 1997. Responsibilities
· Provide technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance of computer systems, hardware and software
· Monitor networking equipment and servers
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues for local and satellite staff and PHSC partner organizations
· Monitor web performance, network availability, and security
· Oversee troubleshooting for system errors
· Provide helpdesk support for network issues
· Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed
· Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
· Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software
· Modify configurations, utilities, software, etc.
· Set up equipment for new users
· Install, test, and monitor servers, firewalls, and new software
· Perform data backups
· Install and update network system improvements as needed
Qualifications
· Degree in computer Science or CIS or relative field
· A Certification is a plus
· Networking Certification is a plus
· Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and left equipment
· Good Communication Skills
· Good Troubleshooting Skills
· Able to work independently and solve problems
· Must have previous server and networking experience
· Advanced computer skills including proficiency is MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) Adobe, PowerShell, etc.
· Experience in Windows Server/virtual environment, network communications (LAN/WAN) and systems, cloud computing, business continuity and disaster recovery methods and practices including backup system technologies and techniques.
Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 pro operating systems, Ability to resolve Server and Workstation Event log errors; knowledge of Windows server 2016 and 2019; knowledge of AD, DHCP, File Share, SQL, Namespace, DNS and Server Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year
