Primary PartnerCare is an MSO and technology firm that currently services a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO with the highest Quality score of all Long Island ACOs 5 years running and a multi-site primary care medical group (adult medicine). We are seeking an experienced healthcare trainer to manager our training division for EMR (Athena), Population Health/Physician Performance software. Additionally, this position will work with senior management to create non-technical training curriculum and opportunities for staff to learn and progress in their careers with our company.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design and develop Instructor-led and web-based training courses, including: course materials, instructor guides, reference guides and related policies if new materials
- Update and maintain existing training materials
- Develop and oversee training calendar, including new offerings and courses for non-technical career growth (management, patient experience, customer service, conflict resolution etc.)
- Collaborate with operations team to identify deficit gaps and training needs, and initiate programs to improve the identified gaps
- Deliver Instructor-led training courses in person and virtually, and over see other trainers
- Understand workflow, policy and procedure changes related to the software and incorporate into classes and onboarding
- Update and/or create new policies as may be needed
- Act as a Subject Matter Professional in relevant applications
- Provide coaching during training programs and onboarding, and create follow-up plan for trainees including a timeline for mastering certain expertise
- Analysis of actual usage of the software, and identification of compliance and training gaps
- Review of KPIs and development of work plans and steps to improve identified underperformers
- Respond to training related inquiries generated by client calls
- Coordinate with IT Dept to ascertain the root cause of client issues that cannot be resolved on initial calls
- Review upcoming release notes, and work with manager to generate suggestions for implementation and training
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Proven training and communication skills – both written and oral -with the ability to interact with clients at all levels
- Exceptional time management and personal organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to examine and synthesize complex content
- Strong technical writing skills to create training materials and presentations
- Excellent work ethic and proven inquisitiveness, always using critical thinking skills
- Self-starter that takes initiative and is excited to help executive team build and scale the company
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve/escalate issues
- Team player that can perform as part of the team, leader of the team and/or independently as the work requires
- Management and leadership experience
- Experience in and/or knowledge of medical group operations; multi-site medical group practice management and billing/coding experience preferred
- EMR expertise; Knowledge of athenahealth EMR a plus but not required
- Superior Microsoft Office skills required (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Pay: $82,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
