What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager position at Primary Residential Mortgage?
The purpose of this position is to assist with the branch in Marketing efforts by training Loan Officers or other staff.
In the performance of assigned tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:
Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting. To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location). Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
- Works closely with Divisional marketing staff to build and present marketing campaigns that will ensure regional growth regardless of market conditions
- Works directly with individual branches to identify and establish direct marketing campaigns that will ensure the success of the branch in its service area
- Works directly with new and existing branch managers to implement and follow best practices in order to optimize branch production
- Implements pro-active efforts to retain employees
- Manages the area’s P&L statement and provides direct supervision over individual branch P&L statements
- Actively addresses non-performance issues in a timely manner while establishing appropriate performance improvement measures
- Maintains constant communication with Branch Support staff in order to maximize efficiencies and production within the group
- Stays informed of all local, state, and federal regulations as it pertains to the mortgage lending industry
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to effectively and professionally handle difficult situations that may arise when working with branches/divisions
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Familiarity with Accounting terms and procedures (e.g., debits, credit, General Ledgers, etc.)
- Knowledge of proper telephone protocol
- Ability to type 50 wpm
