Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Asset Integrity Inspector for our client, a prestigious company in the chemical and refinery sector. As an Asset Integrity Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting critical inspections on fixed assets and ensuring the St. James facility remains compliant with industry regulations. You will work closely with engineering teams to analyze equipment failure, perform root cause investigations, and help improve the overall integrity of the facility's assets, compensation for this role is $30-$50 an hour.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct internal and external API 653 tank inspections and visual external inspections on hoses, sight glasses, piping, expansion joints, flame arrestors, and clamps.
- Monitor and maintain APM Dashboards and databases to ensure facility compliance.
- Develop and input inspection reports, including UT thickness data, into APM and associated databases.
- Review and maintain inspection records in IDMS (APM) for accuracy and completion.
- Collaborate with Fixed Equipment Engineering on failure analysis of equipment that has failed in service.
- Conduct internal and external inspections on all boilers, ensuring compliance with state inspections and recommending operational actions.
- Develop and maintain inspection records for boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping, pressure-relieving devices, and other equipment.
- Perform PT, VT, and UT inspections on equipment and piping as necessary.
- Coordinate inspection projects requiring NDE vendors, including acoustic emissions, x-ray inspections, eddy current testing, and more.
- Oversee CUI / RBI inspection projects and incorporate findings into the APM data collection.
- Coordinate DEQ regulated equipment inspections and provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
- Perform calculations for remaining life and corrosion rates; update thickness data in APM.
- Proactively identify assets nearing end of life and work with Fixed Equipment Engineering to plan for replacements.
- Manage construction and maintenance contractors to ensure quality control.
- Support turnaround planning, ensuring inspections are fully aligned with RBI principles.
- Assist in root cause investigations and MOCs for fixed equipment.
