What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst (Process Improvement) position at Primary Services?
Our Oil & Gas client is looking for a Business Analyst for their Trading Group for a 6 month contract in Houston, TX (Hybrid, Downtown). You will be responsible for capturing business problems, value drivers, and functional / non-functional requirements, including health, safety, security, usability, and data supportability considerations.
Responsibilities :
- Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.
- Undertake assessment and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keeps updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycle.
- Work as a Business Analyst on smaller / less complex projects; Influential at team level through presentations, business cases and investment proposals.
- Identify dependencies with other processes in e2e.
- Develop an effective working relationship and work closely with e2e business partners.
- Share and implement process related best practices.
- Support COP in documenting and improving processes within LoaD (Life of a Deal) in a complete and comprehensive way, including the elements of risk and controls.
- Collaborate with business and Functions Partners to ensure consistency in risk, controls, and process standards in the e2e of the LoaD process.
- Prioritize and deliver actions that will add most value and will drive business success, balancing short and long-term implications.
- Demonstrates a One Team Mindset and can identify Natural Teams
- Gain business knowledge to understand how e2e business partners and processes can align strategic success goals.
- Skilled in Process Mapping & Creating value add for the business through supporting and delivering processes improvements.
- Experience in managing conversations for mapping and documenting processes.
- Applying Continuous Improvement (CI) for business value delivery through efficiencies, optimization, and simplification.
- Experience in process establishment, documentation, process mapping, and encouraging the adoption of best practices.
- Experience in mapping and documenting processes in Visio and / or BiZZdesign.
- Experience in effectively working in a global, virtual setting.
- Experience with effective stakeholder management, communication & influencing skills.
- LEAN / Six Sigma / Agile CIP1 certified practitioner will be an advantage.
