Our Chemical Storage client is hiring a Direct Hire Instrumentation and Automation Engineer in Houston, TX (Texas City) . As part of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Engineering team , you will be responsible for providing in-depth Automation, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering support for new storage and modification projects . Your role will include developing technical proposals , preparing engineering documents and vendor specifications , creating cost estimates , and managing project schedules .
Responsibilities :
- Provide Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation engineering support for growth initiatives, focusing on the design and construction of terminals and related infrastructure.
- Develop technical proposals, prepare engineering documents, and create vendor specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets, schedules, and task timelines with internal teams to optimize costs, processes, and quality.
- Review and develop technical specifications to stay current with technological advancements.
- Coordinate and participate in project reviews, technical analyses, peer reviews, HAZOP, and other engineering studies.
- Share knowledge between the corporate center, terminals, clusters, and the Growth Engineering community.
- Execute minor capital projects, including revenue-generating and sustaining projects.
- Investigate operating deficiencies and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for modifications to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Provide regular progress and budget overview reporting to management.
- Support maintenance activities by reviewing existing assets, designs, and architecture and proposing improvements.
