Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Project Manager - EPC Oil and Gas for our prestigious client. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to manage and deliver high-profile projects in the oil and gas sector for a Fortune 500 company. With a duration of 6 months to 1 year, this role offers the chance to showcase your project leadership skills while overseeing significant capital projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of EPC projects in the oil and gas sector.
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocations.
- Establish governance processes to ensure effective communication, accountability, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including executives, IT teams, facilities, security, and external contractors.
- Build and manage cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide clear updates to stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying milestones and dependencies.
- Proactively address schedule delays or budget variances and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee site selection, feasibility studies, and architectural/engineering design processes.
- Coordinate construction and renovation activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company requirements.
- Ensure integration of communication and emergency systems in collaboration with IT teams.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
- Resolve issues and roadblocks quickly to maintain project momentum.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and operational requirements.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and operational readiness for completed facilities.
- Facilitate smooth handover of completed facilities to operational teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience managing complex construction, renovation, or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing large budgets and delivering projects on time.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with IT systems integration, including emergency communications and redundancy solutions.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with emergency operations or mission-critical facilities.
- Knowledge of lean operating principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
