What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Primary Services?
Our client, a long term, cost effective provider of liquified natural gas (LNG) located in Southwest Louisiana is seeking to hire a best-in-class Quality Manager to work at their flagship site!
We are looking for someone well versed on inspection techniques and methods to provide reviews of contractor performance documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and code requirements. He or she will be responsible for reporting from the site on quality variances and issues, including reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly quality-focused impacts that are identified.
Responsibilities:
- Report on workmanship and implementation of EPC quality program.
- Provide lead engagement for quality nonconformance reports.
- Evaluate the depth of quality control competencies within the EPC’s execution and sub-suppliers' execution of activities.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.
- Review and ensure coordination is in place with subcontractor ITP’s activities.
- Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems.
- Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Directly participate in the HSE activities at the site as defined in the Site HSE plan.
- Ensure EPC employees and Subcontractors are adequate to meet the overall quality plan and ITP’s requirements.
- Review ITPs for approval and sign the necessary certificates per Site Inspection Plans and completion documentation.
Qualifications:
- BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, Piping Engineering, Structural Engineering OR 10 or more years of commensurate work experience
- 15 years of experience in industrial construction of gas processing plants.
- 10 years of experience in a quality role for constructing gas processing plants.
- Experience working on the client side as representation in the field.
- Fully capable of multi-discipline drawing interpretation and P&ID understanding.
- Excellent IT and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, team-oriented, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 6pm - 4:30am, night shift
- Onsite in Cameron, LA
- 20% travel
