Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Regulatory Compliance Manager - Environmental for a major client in the energy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for leading federal and state environmental permitting processes for LNG, pipeline, and other high-profile projects. This position offers the opportunity to guide strategic decisions, manage a talented team, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while making an impact in a dynamic industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the federal and state environmental permitting process for complex LNG, pipeline, and other projects.
- Provide strategic guidance on navigating permitting challenges, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Oversee and direct a team managing environmental permitting tasks and related responsibilities.
- Develop and execute environmental permit applications, leveraging problem-solving, creativity, and judgment.
- Secure environmental permits for various project stages, including Natural Gas Act Section 3 and Section 7 projects before FERC.
- Engage with government agencies, conduct field visits, and coordinate environmental inspections.
- Manage schedules, budgets, procurement, quality control, and reporting related to permitting tasks.
- Lead meetings and working groups to achieve regulatory outcomes and project milestones.
- Collaborate with management to identify challenges, propose solutions, and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in federal and state environmental permitting within the oil and gas sector, with Louisiana experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, administrative, and project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory programs for LNG terminals, pipelines, and similar infrastructure projects.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines efficiently and accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
