Primary Services is excited to announce the Senior Power Systems Project Manager role for a growing LNG company. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, impactful power projects, with substantial domestic and international work exposure. The role offers the chance to travel up to 40% of the time.
In this position, you will oversee complex power projects from conceptual planning to commissioning, lead the implementation of OFE Purchase Orders for Power Island equipment, and ensure the timely delivery of critical design documents and equipment. Your role will involve collaborating with multiple teams, driving the assurance and audit of equipment installations, and managing site change processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the correct implementation of OFE Purchase Orders for Power Island equipment, ensuring on-time delivery of turbines, HRSGs, GIS, Power Transformers, and EMS.
- Coordinate design reviews with the OFE team and vendors, ensuring alignment on equipment design development.
- Work closely with EPC engineering teams to coordinate design reviews and ensure proper flow of information.
- Ensure timely delivery of all design documents, coordinating with EPC teams for detailed design input.
- Build and manage relationships within and across teams to meet project goals and manage expectations.
- Lead the assurance and audit of equipment installation, including electrical test plans and pre-commissioning procedures.
- Review installation scope packages, validate forms for turnover packages, and ensure test procedures align with industry standards.
- Perform project document reviews and support site change management for electrical disciplines.
- Checkout installed systems and equipment, adhering to OEM requirements and industry best practices.
- Travel domestically and internationally (up to 40%) to support customer witness tests, factory acceptance tests, and other site activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 15 years of field execution experience in power plant design and delivery, with a focus on LNG, gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.
- In-depth knowledge of power plant systems, including Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, HRSG, and associated electrical and control systems.
- Proven leadership in overseeing large power projects from planning through to commissioning.
- Experience with planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress, while coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Strong safety, quality, contract management, and progress tracking record.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment, fostering teamwork and promoting diversity.
- Construction experience with power plants is preferred, but not required.
