Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Senior Pricing Analyst (Retail Energy) for a prestigious client seeking to enhance its pricing and analytics team. In this role, you will develop dynamic pricing models, analyze large datasets, and collaborate with internal teams to improve operational efficiency. Your proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel and strong analytical skills will be key to driving pricing accuracy and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dynamic pricing models using Python (Pandas, NumPy) and Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) to optimize pricing accuracy and profitability.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis, writing SQL queries to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets for strategic decision-making.
- Automate pricing processes, working with cross-functional teams and vendors to reduce manual efforts and improve efficiency.
- Analyze ERCOT market data, extracting and compiling real-time pricing trends to support forecasting and pricing decisions.
- Perform contract bandwidth analysis using SQL scripts to assess energy usage and improve contract management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred: University of Houston graduate).
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, and Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Solver, What-If Analysis).
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in pricing strategies, financial modeling, and market data analysis.
- Experience working with ERCOT market data and energy pricing is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate insights effectively.
