What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Engineer position at Primary Talent Partners?
Primary Talent Partners has a new Automation Engineering opening with our large pharmaceutical client in the Marlborough, MA area. This will be a 5 month, FT contract role with high potential to extend and/or convert. The role is onsite, so only local candidates are being considered at this time.
Pay: $100 - $110/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits

Required Skills and Experience:
• Hands on experience with design, programming, and implementation of industrial process control systems in a regulated industry.
• Proficient with configuration and testing AVEVA PI Asset Frameworks and PI Vision displays.
• In-depth understanding of control system architecture that includes PLCs, SCADA/HMI systems, and communication protocols (OPC, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
• Verification test planning and execution
• Excellent cross-functional teamwork, coordination, and communication skills
Tasks and Deliverables:
• Develop configurations of AVEVA PI Asset Framework and PI Vision displays for specified equipment
• Generate related documentation such as functional design specifications, configuration specifications, verification test protocols, etc.
• Perform engineering tests and test protocol shakedown
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to test failures and generate potential solutions
Experience: 8 years or more
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical or chemical engineering, or related STEM Major
