BizOps Engineer

Primary Talent Partners has a 24-month contract for a BizOps Engineer with our great financial client.

• Pay: $70/hr - $80/hr - W2

Responsibilities

<>Operational Readiness:

• Act as the primary point of contact for application health, performance, and capacity.

• Support system readiness for new applications through design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.

• Collaborate with development and product teams to establish monitoring and alerting strategies.

• Increase automation to minimize manual interventions and reduce downtime.

<>M&A Integration:

• Align IT practices of acquired companies (e.g., asset management, ITSM) with our standards.

• Conduct audits to assess readiness and compliance of newly integrated businesses.

• Coordinate maturity model assessments and ensure operational alignment.

<>Incident & Change Management:

• Proactively manage production and change activities to optimize customer experience.

• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and lead blameless post-mortems.

<>Monitoring & Risk Mitigation:

• Use tools like Splunk and Dynatrace to enhance system monitoring and fault detection.

• Implement high availability and business continuity strategies to mitigate risk.

Required Qualifications

• Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate experience with asset/configuration management tools (e.g., BMC Discovery, CMDB).

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.

  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.

  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and DevOps processes (CI/CD, Kubernetes).

  • Scripting/coding knowledge (e.g., Python).

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Project management and organizational skills.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and risk mitigation.

• Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
