Development Scientist I

Primary Talent Partners has a new development scientist opening with our large pharmaceutical manufacturing client in the West Sacramento, CA area. This will be a 6 month, FT contract, with high potential to extend and/or convert.

Pay: $28 - $30/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits

Schedule: M to F, 8am - 5pm

Description:
The Development Scientist assists in antimicrobial susceptibility testing for a new project within the Development Scientist organization. The incumbent performs experiments as defined and planned by the supervisor; reviews test results for experimental error and determines if repeats are required, and provides project support to the team as needed.

Duties will include:

• Subculturing isolates for testing, performing laboratory experiments, documenting results, and maintaining a safe environment within the laboratory.
  

Requirements:

• Aseptic technique
• GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)
• Some knowledge of microbiology
• Ability to multi-task
• Good organizational skills.
