What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Primary Talent Partners?

Primary Talent Partners has a 6 month contract opening for a Machine Operator to join a multinational life sciences company for an onsite position operating out of Deland, FL.

Pay: $17.50/hr
Contract: 6 months, extensions likely, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Inspecting, cutting, staging, unstaging and laying-up of dynalloy, fibermet and continuous media rolls as well as operating both large and small rolling mills.
Operating continuous Hydrogen furnace and Vacuum furnaces.
Inspecting, trimming and packaging of media products.
Reading and following complex work procedures and schematics or receiving verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures.
Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
Other duties as assigned.
Comply with EHS regulations and policies including wearing required PPE.
Complete all necessary equipment in related area.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent.
2 years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing environment required.
Basic math skills and measuring skills are required.
Accuracy with both calipers and micrometers.
Attention to detail and quality-minded work habits.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership.
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods.
Must be able to read and write simple statements.
Ability to make decisions and have sound judgment
