Primary Talent Partners has a new 6 month contract Quality Control Engineer opening with a diesel and engine manufacturing client operating out of Bloomfield, CT. Contract extension or direct-hire conversion is dependent upon performance, budget, and continued business needs.
Pay: $38 - $41/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching and testing the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, systems, and processes while developing and implementing quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, quality assurance methodologies, and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
- Devise sampling procedures and design forms for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
- Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production and analytical equipment
- Lead quality control training sessions and develop relevant training materials
- Specialize in various quality control engineering areas including process control, product evaluation, and metrology
- Direct workers in measuring and testing products and compiling data on materials, processes, and reliability
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports
- Utilize engineering software such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and statistical analysis tools
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Required)
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a quality or manufacturing engineering role
- Strong knowledge of:
- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning
- MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- AIAG Core Tools
- IATF 16949 Standards
- Proficiency in Minitab and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a team environment
