Job Title: Transmission and Substation Construction Supervisor
Reports to: Transmission Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Full Time
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transmission and Substation Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage construction projects related to high-voltage transmission lines and substations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical infrastructure construction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Essential Functions
Leadership and Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.
Project Management: Supervise and coordinate construction activities on transmission and substation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Training and Development: Recruit, train, and develop employees, ensuring all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Safety Compliance: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, work logs, and safety records.
Resource Coordination: Ensure all equipment and materials are available and properly utilized on-site.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project status, work completed, resource usage, and any safety incidents. Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to the COO.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop project plans and schedules. Foster positive relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.
Position Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction supervision, specifically in transmission and substations.
Valid Class A CDL required; and willingness to travel to various job sites.
Experience & Skills
Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure construction practices, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in training and recruiting employees.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
