As a growing company in the State of Kentucky, our Structures Group has diverse clients ranging from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and local municipalities to high profile private clients. The Transportation Structural Engineer is an exciting opportunity for an eager structural engineer who wants to work with our experienced staff and learn the ropes of structure design, as well as structure inspection. In this position you will have the opportunity to work across the State from the mountains of Eastern KY to the hills in Western Kentucky, performing structural engineering design and inspection for our diverse clientele including KYTC and local municipalities.

The Transportation Structural Engineer is an exciting opportunity for an eager structural engineer who wants to work with our experienced staff and learn the ropes of structure design, as well as structure inspection. In this position you will have the opportunity to work across the State from the mountains of Eastern KY to the hills in Western Kentucky, performing structural engineering design and inspection for our diverse clientele including KYTC and local municipalities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform horizontal structural design of various types of roadway and bridge projects
- Perform Routine Bridge Inspection Services, as needed
- Work with the design team comprised of Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and other technical staff to develop engineered solutions for various clients.
- Utilize CAD design software such as OpenRoadsDesigner and Civil 3D for design and plan production.
- Perform field visits for ongoing design projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
- EIT required.
- Experience working with MicroStation, OpenRoadsDesigner, and/or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, KYTC, MUTCD, and ADA regulations.
- Strong oral and technical writing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- An attitude and commitment to work cooperatively with others.
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
