Job Description: Detailer
As a Detailer you will be responsible for setting the bar for yourself and other team members for the requirement for detailing the cars to the Prime Auto USA standards. This may include performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and waxing exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and deodorizing interiors, and keeping records related to gas levels and the condition of the vehicle. You should possess strong customer service skills and be familiar with the tools and agents used to clean and maintain vehicles. The Detailer will play an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of our company. A Detailer is someone that has demonstrated proficiency in all requirements for the position and has vast experience to set the bar, recruit others, train others and lead the charge for meeting company goals related to detail.
Duties: The Detailer is responsible to perform all tasks efficiently and independently while maintaining the highest standards.
It is typical for the Detailer to complete the following work daily:
- Login to company systems to report time worked and what work is completed.
- Ensure that the inventory is cleaned and maintained in such a manner that we always have successful customer service. This includes cleaning vehicles going to auction and the frontline and maintain cleanliness on the frontline inventory.
- Assist with efficient vehicle flow within the business as needed to ensure that all department continue to be successful.
Expected Results:
The activities listed above are to result in:
- The team achieving a minimum standard of 7 cars produced per day, or 35 per week, as a team, as an average in addition to minimal detailing of cars that will be sold at auction.
- Completing work within a reasonable time frame based on industry averages.
- Completing work in a quality manner such that cars are not found to have deficiencies prior to selling or shortly after selling that should have been found in the diagnosis and subsequently repaired prior to sale or at the time work is completed for a customer.
- Completing the work in such a manner that increases the perceived and actual value of the vehicle to sell for a higher price and sell quicker relative to other alternative similar vehicles for sale in the marketplace.

Ideal Requirements for Employment:
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and be at least 21 for insurance purposes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
