Quality Control Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Manager will lead and motivate Quality Supervisors, Micro Technicians, QC Technicians, and Lab Technicians to ensure effective operation of Prime’s quality management system. They are responsible for the daily operations of the Quality lab, including staffing, training, budgeting, and document review.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly lead and supervise team of 4 Quality Supervisors and 2 Micro Technicians.
- Provide indirect leadership and general supervision to QC and Lab Technicians.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enable and oversee compliance to microbiological, analytical, and sensory analyses on products and in-process materials according to Prime Beverage and customer guidelines.
- Drive development and improvement of laboratory techniques, procedures, and instrumentation.
- Establish tracking and reporting of key Quality metrics.
- Ensure customer and microbiological samples are received in timely manner.
- Interview and hire laboratory staff, and oversee training defined by position requirements.
- Manage operating budget of laboratory.
- Implement inventory reorder list and establish regular inventory/order processes to avoid downtime related to lab testing.
- Participate in the preparation, editing, and maintenance of all policy and procedure manuals and documents for proficiency testing and laboratory inspections.
- Ensure that laboratory personnel comply with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Review documentation daily to ensure products are meeting customer and internal requirements.
- Ensure on-time delivery of complete and accurate records to internal stakeholders.
- Lead non-conforming product investigations.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or related industrial, scientific, or business field required.
- Three or more years’ supervisory or management experience preferred.
