SUMMARY: Our Driver is responsible for safely transporting material from our retail store (Kerrville, TX) to customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and outstanding customer service abilities. Will be home daily.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transport materials from our retail store to designated customer locations.
- Load materials onto trailer, ensuring proper securing and handling techniques are followed.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and maintain a clean driving record.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license (Non-CDL)
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
- No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs convictions within the last ten (10) years.
