Position Overview
Prime Capital Financial has a twelve-person investment and trading team responsible for managing or advising on over $25B of client assets across various strategies, asset classes, and portfolios. In anticipation of continued rapid AUM growth, investment product development, and investment process scaling, the team is seeking to hire an additional Quantitative Investment Analyst for our portfolio management unit. The Quantitative Investment Analyst would become an integral, high-performing team member and support several critical investment analysis and portfolio management activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Quantitative Investment Analyst will be instrumental in scaling the delivery and management of customized investment solutions for our Prime Capital Wealth and Prime Capital Retirement advisors. This will involve developing efficient and repeatable research processes across qualitative and quantitative areas, including market, economic, sector, company, fund, and manager analysis. Portfolio management responsibilities may be an element of this role, depending on the candidate's experience and capabilities. The Quantitative Investment Analyst will take a lead role in helping the team oversee and research Mutual Funds, ETFs, and Collective Investment Trusts across various investment strategies, which includes screening and organizing coverage of new managers, maintaining a list of approved managers, working with our advisors on products used in asset allocation, and understanding investment rationale of strategies alongside manager usage to position models and communicate on the rationale for how and why models, methods, and managers are performing relative to peers and market benchmarks. The analyst will also help oversee investment strategy and public market asset allocation models for the team, including running reports and analytics and building and developing content and collateral for internal and external consumptions.
Personal Competencies & Attributes
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or economics
- Strong personal interest in financial markets and investing
- Must have a solid understanding of database query logic such as SQL and Python
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High quality of work standards and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, internal motivation, and ability to learn new skills and competencies
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
