Description
Prime Cardiology of Nevada is a dynamic and respected group of cardiologists that include general, invasive, interventional, structural heart, peripheral vascular disease, and electrophysiology. Five clinical locations are in Clark County and servicing Hospitals in the greater Las Vegas Valley.
Revenue Cycle Manager Job Purpose:
To oversee the entire billing process, from patient insurance verification to the payment of a balance. Manage and lead team members to improve performance, productivity, and efficiency to achieve revenue goals.
Revenue Cycle Manager Primary Job Responsibilities:
· Managing and supervising the daily operations of the revenue cycle team
· Ensuring all billing and collection procedures adhere to legal and health insurance policies.
· Developing strategies to improve and accelerate the revenue cycle process
· Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes
· Oversee the registration, billing, and collection processes
· Identifying issues in the revenue cycle process and implementing solutions
· Preparing and presenting reports on the status of accounts and collections
· Training, guiding, and evaluating performance of revenue cycle staff
· Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate billing operations
· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding, billing, and regulatory standards
· Negotiating with health insurance companies on payment and billing issues
· Ensuring patient confidentiality and data privacy in compliance with relevant laws
· Develop and maintain key performance indicators and benchmarks
· Personnel management, including staff development, hiring, and retention
Qualifications
· Proven work experience as a Revenue Cycle Manager or similar role
· Understanding of medical terminology, coding and billing procedures
· Experience with healthcare information systems
· Strong leadership and personnel management skills
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Detail-oriented with an aptitude for numbers
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas of revenue leakage and devise strategies to increase revenue
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload for efficient management of the revenue cycle
Education and Experience Desired:
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare finance or related field
· Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) system
· Experience with Practice Fusion and Practice Suite a plus
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
· Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or relevant field preferred
