We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a dynamic cardiology clinic in Minneapolis. This role involves managing the customer flow throughout the clinic and assisting providers in delivering individualized care to patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and geriatrics.
As a Medical Assistant, you will work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and supervisors to ensure high-quality care while performing both clinical and clerical tasks. Communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care :
- Perform standard rooming processes and assist with patient preparation.
- Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed.
- Collect laboratory specimens, perform phlebotomy, and conduct clinic laboratory tests.
- Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between customers and providers.
- Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
- Perform x-ray duties (if certified) and other delegated clinical tasks.
