Job Summary: The talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the recruitment process to attract and hire qualified candidates for various positions within the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to
- Identify and source potential candidates through job boards, professional sourcing networks, employee referrals and other recruitment channels.
- Collaborates with department managers and hiring managers to identify and draft compelling job descriptions and hiring criteria that accurately reflect the roles and attract qualified candidates.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Review applications and resumes to identify candidates based on job requirements.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate skills, experience and organizational culture fit.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Use market research to stay current on industry trends and talent market insights.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of employer branding strategies to attract top talent.
- New Hire Onboarding: Assist with onboarding new hires including completion of new hire paperwork initiating background checks, pre-employment drug screening and employee eligibility verifications when needed and participates in new hire orientation.
- Training and Development: Assist in coordinating training programs, identifying training needs, and facilitating employee development initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least three years of experience in a recruiting or human resources role.
- Strong sourcing and networking abilities.
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and HRIS platforms.
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects, as well as strong, follow-through skills.
- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
- Professional HR Certification a plus. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
