Responsibilities:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is a registered professional nurse who has specialized skills, knowledge, and experience in patient assessments and follow-up and is duly authorized to perform designated acts of medical diagnosis, prescription of medical therapeutics and corrective measures in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses in the state.
2. BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.
3. Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty is preferred.
4. Master’s in nursing required, Doctorate of Nursing preferred.
5. Two or more years of clinical experience as a nursing practitioner at a physician practice or in a hospital with a related specialty is strongly preferred.
6. Eligible for Drug Enforcement Administration Registration.
