Responsibilities
The Disability Case Manager I handles the complete cycle of the interactive process and accommodation in ADA leave cases, including return to work for these cases for non-occupational and occupational cases. The Disability Case Manager I serves as the primary contact for employee’s seeking reasonable accommodations through the interactive process. Ensures the interactive process and procedures are effectively executed and managed in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. The Disability Case Manager I will collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate the interactive process and determine eligibility.
Qualifications
Required qualifications :
- High school Diploma required.
- Three (3) years' experience in Human Resources in a benefits, leave management or generalist related position, with a minimum two (2) years’ experience in ADA / interactive process administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state disability laws, specifically ADAAA, FEHA and FMLA / CFRA; experience with CA leaves.
- Strong knowledge of the interplay between the FMLA / CFRA, workers’ compensation, and the ADAAA.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of disability management, return-to-work strategies, ADAAA and related state and local statutes.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve, organize and manage multiple priorities, and effectively follow up in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships through strong interpersonal skills including consistent demonstration of solid professional judgement.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including effective presentation skills to all levels of the organization.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Preferred qualifications :
