Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and highly motivated APRN to join our dynamic urology team. This APRN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of urological conditions. You will work closely with our urologist and other healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of urological issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with urological concerns
- Provide diagnosis, treatment plans, and management for patients with urological disorders (e.g., urinary tract infections, kidney stones, incontinence, prostate issues, etc.)
- Perform diagnostic procedures, such as catheter insertions, bladder scans, and other urological assessments as required
- Educate patients about urological health, preventive care, and treatment options
- Prescribe medications and treatments, including managing prescriptions and adjusting dosages as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Participate in patient care rounds and assist in the management of hospital admissions, when applicable
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up appointments
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the department

Requirements
- Active RN licensure in Connecticut
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification in Connecticut.
- Previous experience in urology or a related healthcare field is preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to independently manage patient care
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
