Responsibilities

Now adding Full Time RNs to our Float Team. Floating to Medical Surgical, Cardiac, Stepdown, PCU, Chemical Detox and Behavior Health. The Float Pool Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

• 12 hour shifts
• Night shift
• Acute Care experience preferred
• AL Registered Nurse or Compact Registered Nurse experience Required
• Telemetry, Medical Surgical, Stepdown, Neuro, Renal, Ortho, Behavior Health, Chemical Detox, PCU, Cardiac
• Special float pool payrates
• 2 years experience as an Registered Nurse Required

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License 2. Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred. 6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 7. Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.
