Responsibilities
Providence Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Med/Surg Unit. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, demonstrating strong clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
- Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpret and record measurements
- Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
- Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
- Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
- Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records
- Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state license2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. IV certification upon hire (state specific)
