Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the physician, will assist by scrubbing procedures and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. May not operate x-ray or Fluoroscopy. Responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedure.
Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Prepares power injector with contrast medium as directed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Requires previous experience assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data, preferably in Surgery, Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology.2. Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
3. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required.
5. Proficient computer skills.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $38.51 to $54.92. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
