Responsibilities
- Help with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
- Accompany the individual to appointments, social activities, or community events.
- Provide companionship and foster a positive and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively using American Sign Language (ASL) or other agreed methods.
Experience
- Previous experience in home community care or senior care is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid principles and practices is beneficial.
- Experience in caregiving roles, particularly in assisted living or group home environments, is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Job Type: Part-time
