Responsibilities
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for the preparation and presentation of the hotels complimentary hot breakfast.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares a variety of breakfast and brunch items.
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies and procedures.
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Maintains a prepared and sanitary work area at all times.
- Constantly uses safe and hygienic food handling practices.
- Handles, stores and rotates products properly.
- Assists in food prep assignments.
- Closes the kitchen following all closing checklists provided by the Executive Chef.
- Communicates clearly with managers, kitchen and front of the house associates.
- Assists in various areas of the hotels Food & Beverage outlets.
- Other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef/ Executive Chef
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Excellent communication, guest service and time management skills
- Must be able to organize, plan ahead and manage workload.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment.
- Must be dependable and energetic
- Must have previous line cook experience
- Availability between the hours of 4:00 am-12pm.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires constant standing and walking. Frequent bending, squatting, handling and grasping. Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs. Pushing and pulling is minimal.
Working Environment
- Indoor working conditions in fast paced environment.
