Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute automated NGS library preparation workflows using high-throughput platforms.
- Perform manual and automated quality control of NGS libraries to ensure data integrity.
- Operate and maintain Illumina sequencing instruments for high-throughput sequencing applications.
- Support the development and optimization of automated NGS workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Analyze sequencing quality metrics and interpret data to refine workflow development and process improvements.
- B.S. candidate in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Experience with molecular biology lab techniques, such as PCR setup and nucleic acid handling.
- Basic understanding of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) principles and workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze sequencing data.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Hands-on experience with NGS sample preparation, library construction, or Illumina sequencer operation.
- Familiarity with liquid handling automation platforms (e.g., Hamilton, Beckman, or Opentrons).
- Experience with bioinformatics tools for analyzing NGS data is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced research environment.
