Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of completed procedures and adhering to ethical standards and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify client identity and review medical staff orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
- Provide verbal and written instructions to clients.
- Correctly position clients for radiography, which may involve lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
- Adjust imaging equipment to specified positions.
- Ensure high-quality x-rays to prevent repeat procedures.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure their safety and comfort during scans.
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to yourself and clients.
- Maintain radiology supplies inventory and order replacements as needed.
- Notify management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
- Keep accurate records of completed procedures.
- Adhere to ethical standards and applicable laws.
Requirements
- City, state, or federal license and/or certification required.
- Proven experience as a X-ray technician.
