Processing Associate - Extraction

We are looking for an Extraction Processing Associate to be responsible for the processing and extraction of cannabis plant material and in the manufacturing of finished cannabis products. This position will work closely with the packaging and distribution team within the processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Verify external cannabis brought into the processing facility meets internal specifications and communicating discrepancies with management
• Prepare biomass for extraction by segregation into production batches
• Operate laboratory equipment to extract and purify cannabis oil using a high degree of caution and safety
• Keep accurate written records and operational logs to ensure cannabis oil was processed and formulated according to company specifications for safety and quality
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot all laboratory, extraction, and formulation equipment
• Collect, prepare, and analyze all oil samples under the guidance of management
• Monitor daily inventory and notify members of management when supplies are low
• Monitor adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for the facility's operations
• Oversee maintenance of a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in cannabis industry (cultivation or processing facilities preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing role (preferred)
• Must be 21 years of age or older to work in MI Cannabis Industry
• Must pass background check per CRA requirements

Physical Demands

• Required to regularly speak and hear
• Required to stand for extended periods
• Required to walk, use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, controls
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
