Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Histology Technician to join our team at Prime Physicians, PLLC. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to tissue processing and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, and cover-slipping of tissue specimens.
- Assisting in cutting surgical, frozen sections, and possibly autopsies as required.
- Operating and maintaining equipment, instruments, and specialized techniques to process specimens.
- Preparing special stains as requested by pathologists for diagnostic purposes.
- Supporting the team as a back-up morgue assistant in the absence of the contract diener.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, chemistry, or medical technology).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in histology and cytology, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
