Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented pharmacist to join our team in Tohatchi, NM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care by verifying prescriptions, performing compounding, and managing inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, drug interactions, and legal compliance
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, dosage, side effects, and proper storage
- Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding and manage inpatient IV admixture preparation
- Assist with chronic disease management, primary care services, and medication therapy monitoring
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and ensure adherence to IHS, TJC, CMS, and ASHP regulations
- Follow HIPAA and infection control guidelines, complete required safety training, and adhere to professional standards
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) degree.
- Licenses: A current, valid, unrestricted license in any state of USA.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-years' Pharmacist experience
