Job Title : Pharmacy Technician Location : Albuquerque, NM 87108 Start Date : April 2025 Duration : 6 12 Months Shift Schedule : Rotational shifts (8-12 hours), including weekends and holidays. Qualification : Education : A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing education program is required. Certifications : Certified by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Experience : Minimum one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting , with emphasis on sterile IV compounding . Responsibilities : Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile compounded products. Maintain accurate records and inventory of pharmaceutical stock. Assist in packaging, labeling, and distribution of medications. Operate and manage automated medication dispensing equipment. Handle prescription refill requests and generate medication labels using VISTA. Assist in managing inventory, including stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and maintaining accurate records. Communicate with patients, physicians, and healthcare providers to clarify medication orders. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and VA regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
