Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist Location : North Chicago, IL 60064 Shift Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM (40 hours / week, 8-hour shifts) / Overtime is unlikely but may be required for anything over 40 hours Duration : 1 Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract) Start Date : March 2025 Qualification Certification : ARRT or ARDMS, BLS Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound examinations . Responsibilities Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations, including thyroid, abdomen, pelvis, transvaginal, breast, and Doppler imaging of carotid arteries and extremities. Process and upload imaging for interpretation using Oracle / Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PACS systems. Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Maintain ultrasound imaging equipment and report any malfunctions to the Ultrasound Supervisor. Ensure strict confidentiality of patient information and compliance with FHCC safety and documentation protocols. Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and equipment. Recognize emergency situations, respond promptly, and take appropriate medical assistance measures.
