Job Title: RN Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology Laboratory (CCL)
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 1 year (options for 26 weeks or fulltime)
Start Date: March 2025
Shift Schedule: 8 / 10/ 12 hrs rotating day, night, and evening shifts, to include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
On-call is required
Qualification
Education: BSN / ASN
License: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in any State of USA
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Experience: 3 years’ experience in an Outpatient setting (i.e.), Telemetry and Acute Care experience.

Responsibilities
- The CCL RN delivers and manages the care of patients undergoing therapeutic and diagnostic cardiology procedures including both inpatients and outpatients.
- Assesses the patients physical and mental status prior to procedures, educates on procedural and pre/post-procedural care, and documents responses to interventions, findings, and reports any changes.
- Responsible for accessing the need of each patient and performing duties requiring advanced training and experience as related to the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) and Electrophysiology (EP) and meeting the needs of the patient.
- The nurse is responsible for administration of IV sedation, monitoring patients, and as needed to assist the physician and/or other team members wherever possible during invasive procedures.
- There is an on-call requirement for the Cardiac Cath lab for this position. Proficient in caring for venous and arterial sheaths and initiating peripheral IV sites is required.
- Requires competency in EKG recognition, clinical competence in hemodynamic monitoring, data interpretation, and various interventional Cardiac procedures.
- The nurse must demonstrate advanced nursing skills to manage and assist with emergency or life-threatening situations (airway management and resuscitation efforts).
- The nurse will have knowledge, competency and will circulate and scrub in for the Structural heart Left and Right, Transesophageal echocardiogram cardioversion, Heart ablation, valve replacement, TAVR, Thrombectomies, stents, angioplasties, assisting Implants of Pacemakers, TEE’s, Catheterizations, ICDs, and other procedures.
- This position requires detailed nurse documentation in electronic charting.
