Job Title : LPN - Primary Care / Specialty Clinics
Location : Charleston, SC and associated CBOCs
Shift Schedule : Between the hours of 7 : 00AM and 5 : 30PM (Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts, including alternating weekends.)
Duration : 1 Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract)
Start Date : March 2025
Qualification
Education : Graduate of a state-approved school of practical / vocational nursing.
License : LPN
Certifications : BLS / CPR and Covid 19
Experience : Min 2 years of recent experience in a primary care or specialty clinics (within the last 6 months).
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurse Act and VA guidelines.
- Administer and document medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous) accurately.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and report changes in condition to RNs or physicians.
- Provide patient education on health conditions, treatments, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records in VistA / CPRS systems.
- Support infection control measures and adhere to safety protocols.
- Provide care to COVID-19 positive patients or PUIs as required. Refusal to do so may result in removal from assignment.
