Job Title : RN Infection Control Preventionist
Location : Gallup, NM 87301
Duration : 6 to 12 Months
Start Date : March 2025
Shift Schedule : 8-hour shift (Monday through Friday)
Qualification :
License : Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in any State of USA
Certifications : BLS, Certified Infection Control Preventionist or CIC credentialed
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience related to Infection Prevention.
Responsibilities :
Lead infection control practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and serving as a clinical expert.
Conduct surveillance and data analysis, identifying infection trends and initiating corrective actions.
Perform regular rounds and audits to monitor aseptic techniques, standard precautions, and quality control.
Collaborate with hospital departments on performance improvement and infection prevention initiatives.
Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, OSHA, CDC, IHS, and GSU infection control policies.
Support patient care teams, reviewing medical records and assisting in hospital-acquired infection follow-ups.
