Job Title : RN PACU
Location : Gallup, NM 87301
Duration : 6 to 12 Months
Start Date : April 2025
Shift Schedule : 8hr Day Shift (Monday-Friday Includes Weekends / Holidays On-call)
Qualification :
License : Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in any State of USA
Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS
Experience : 2 years' experience in the department / specialty / position with minimum of 3 years nursing experience.
Responsibilities :
Provide intensive post-anesthesia care, monitoring patients for complications and intervening as needed.
Rotate between pre-op counseling, prep-surgery, recovery, and local procedures rooms as part of the surgical team.
Conduct thorough post-anesthesia assessments, including physical exams, patient interviews, and health history reviews.
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to implement patient care plans and administer prescribed treatments.
Monitor vital signs, manage IV fluids, blood products, and oxygen therapy, ensuring patient stability.
Document patient care accurately, following AORN standards and maintaining detailed records of interventions.
