Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property leasing and customer relationship management, with the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. This role requires excellent phone etiquette and the capability to manage tenant inquiries while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, including LIHTC regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of property leasing activities, including tenant screening and lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate files and records for all properties, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support the upselling of available units and amenities to prospective tenants.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to develop marketing strategies for vacant units.
- Utilize OneSite software for managing tenant information and property data.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts with vendors and service providers.
Experience
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with LIHTC regulations is a plus.
- Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
- Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of contract law.
- Proficient in using property management software, preferably OneSite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
