Prime has an immediate opening for a full-time Logistics Coordinator who has previous experience in booking trucks that will be able to start quickly with little training. You will coordinate transportation between supplier and customer and warehouses, making sure deadlines are met; will work directly with carriers and warehouses continually reviewing pricing to keep costs down.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and book FTL dry freight based on current market trends.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
- Generate pickup and delivery BOLs.
- Track shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
- Receive scale tickets
- Record accurate weights
- Ensure confidentiality
- Focus on carrier development to build the carrier and broker network.
- Other tasks as assigned
Required Skills:
- Communication Skills: Applicants must speak English fluently and possess strong verbal skills. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and staff, both over the phone and in person.
- Phone Skills: Client/vendor interaction is mostly by email and telephone, applicants should possess the required phone etiquette. All incoming calls should be answered with a professional, friendly and courteous voice. Customer
- Computer Skills: Applicants must possess basic computer skills . You will process orders accurately, send BOLs and keep track of gross and net weights. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook is REQUIRED. You will oversee spreadsheets tracking inventory and carriers.
- Required Clerical Skills: Applicants must know how to use general office equipment such as a copier, scanner, printer and fax machine. Preferred prior experience in logistics coordination, nationwide.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
