Job Summary:
The Septic Pumper will be responsible for operating a vacuum truck to pump, transport, and dispose of waste from septic systems, grease traps, and holding tanks. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a vacuum truck to pump out septic tanks, grease traps, and other waste containers
- Safely drive and transport waste to designated disposal sites
- Inspect tanks for signs of damage or issues and report findings
- Complete service documentation and collect customer signatures
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of truck and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and all DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Perform minor maintenance or troubleshooting on-site when needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience pumping septic tanks (required)
- Must have experience operating a jetter
- Must have experience pumping grease traps
- Valid CDL (Class B or A with tanker endorsement preferred)
- Clean driving record (MVR required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Knowledge of septic systems and safe pumping procedures
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
